Count encounters or resets for any shiny hunt, right in your browser. No sign-up needed to start.
Create a free ShinyHunt account to save your counts, run several hunts at once and keep your shiny trophy case.
Pick the Pokémon and the game you are hunting in, then press the big +1 button (or Space or Enter) every time you encounter or reset. Backspace removes one if you miscounted. Your count is saved in this browser.
It depends on the game. Generations 2 to 5 use 1 in 8,192. Generation 6 onwards uses 1 in 4,096. Methods like the Masuda Method, chaining and the Shiny Charm improve this, and the odds calculator shows them for each game.
It is the probability that you would have found at least one shiny by now, using the base odds for your game. Reaching the average number of encounters is still far from a sure thing, so going over is normal.
No. Shiny Pokémon were introduced in Generation 2 (Gold, Silver and Crystal). Generation 1 games have none, so there are no odds to track for them.
No, the counter is stored in your browser, so it survives a refresh or restart. Clearing site data, using a private window or switching browsers will lose it. Sign in with Google to save hunts to your account and use them on any device.
Yes. The counter works instantly with no account. Signing in is optional and only adds saved hunts, a trophy case and a shiny Pokédex.
