The best method depends on your game and your target. These are the strongest options each game offers, with all bonuses stacked. Each method has its own article with details. Odds are approximate and shown the way most sources quote them.

Things to keep in mind

• Some Pokémon are shiny locked in certain games, so no method will work. Check the Shiny locks article first.
• Breeding with the Masuda Method works in most games from Gen 4 on and is a solid fallback for any Pokémon that can breed.
• Some fast methods only work on certain encounters, for example Dynamax Adventures only offer the Pokémon found in Max Lair.
